Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
At Bantoid, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. We built our wallet to minimize data collection and ensure you remain in full control of your financial life. This policy explains how we handle your information.
1. Non-Custodial Nature
Bantoid is a non-custodial wallet. This means:
- We do not have access to your private keys or recovery phrases.
- We do not hold, store, or have the ability to freeze your funds.
- Your funds exist on the blockchain, not on our servers.
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding your private keys. If you lose them, we cannot recover them for you.
2. Data Collection (Or Lack Thereof)
Because we stick to the principles of decentralization, we collect as little data as possible:
- No Account Required: You do not need to create an account with us to generate a wallet or receive funds.
- No Tracking: We do not track your transaction history, IP addresses, or associate your wallet address with your real-world identity.
- Device Data: The app stores your encrypted keys locally on your device. This data never leaves your phone.
3. Third-Party Services
While the core wallet functions are decentralized, some optional features may rely on third-party partners (e.g., for buying/selling crypto with fiat currency).
- Fiat On/Off Ramps: If you choose to buy or sell crypto using a partner service (e.g., MoonPay, Transak, or local partners), you will be directed to their platform. They are responsible for collecting any necessary KYC (Know Your Customer) information required by law.
- We do not store or process this KYC data ourselves.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Since we don't collect email addresses, we encourage you to check this page periodically for updates.
